Paige received the star-studded ultimate grand prize of a recording demo package, valued at approx. $1,500. Prize details under 'Prizes' tab. Fawdry has been invited to perform Aug. 5 at the 152nd Comber Fair, and at the 3rd Annual Fantasy Idol Competition on October 15.

  
   A little town with big talent! Youth from all around Southwestern ON hit the stage at the 8th Annual Wheatley Idol competition. A wonderful event enjoyed by a good audience and everyone involved. Approximately 350 people came out to the largely anticipated Wheatley Idol, which got underway at Two Creeks on a perfect weather day. MC Dustyn Janzen, 92.7 Max FM & Mix 96.7 FM radio host, kept everyone entertained and well informed throughout the event. Janzen wore his "Courage" t-shirt for all those who shared the stage with him. Contestants came from all over to include Belle River, Chatham, Essex, Harrow, Kingsville, Leamington, London, Meaford, Petrolia, Wheatley, and Windsor. Celebrity Judges Nicole Barron, Cordell Green, and Jennifer Morin had a tough job with so much amazing talent to choose from picking the top 3 in each age category.
   Congratulations to Paige Frankfurth Fawdry - 2011 Wheatley Idol Overall winner, Wheatley Idol winners, and all the contestants for getting up in front of a big crowd and putting their talent out there for all to enjoy! As Dustyn put it, "It takes courage to get up on stage".
